PROCUREMENT METHODOLOGIES AND RISK DISTRIBUTION RELEVANT TO INFRASTRUCTURE DELIVERY

This research is grounded in the hypothesis that not all existing procurement methodologies are equally suited to managing and allocating risk—particularly in large-scale infrastructure projects.

Research

This research critically evaluates how procurement methodologies shape the distribution of risk in infrastructure delivery, focusing on both public and private sector projects:

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of key procurement models and their approach to risk distribution.

  • Assess fitness for the purpose of models.

  • Examine alignment between procurement strategies, organisational capacity, capability, and risk allocation.
